Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced a price hike for the Urban Cruiser Taisor. It now gets expensive by Rs 2,500 on all the variants. The vehicle now begins from Rs 7.77 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.91 lakh (ex-showroom).
The latest increase is Taisor’s second for 2025, after it raised prices up to Rs 5,500 in April. The new price hike is applicable to both the petrol and CNG versions equally.
Updated Toyota Taisor Price List
The 12-variant model lineup now fetches a premium all around. The entry-level E petrol manual version which was earlier available for Rs 7.74 lakh will now be priced at Rs 7.77 lakh. On the other hand, the top-spec V turbo petrol auto is now priced at Rs 12.91 lakh, as opposed to Rs 12.88 lakh earlier.
Key price points include:
- Base E petrol manual: Rs 7.77 lakh (Was Rs 7.74 lakh)
- CNG: Rs 8.75 lakh (Rs 8.72 lakh)
- Top V turbo automatic: Rs 12.91 lakh (from Rs 12.88 lakh)
Engine Options Remain Unchanged
The Taisor maintains its twin-engine arrangement. It is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 89 bhp and 113 Nm and comes with manual and AMT options. Power from the turbocharged 1.0-litre engine stands at 99 bhp and 147.6 Nm with manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options.
The claimed fuel efficiency figures are still competitive at 19.86–22.79 kmpl for petrol variants, with the CNG model providing better running costs, despite a rise in prices.

Market Performance Despite Price Hikes
The Taisor has been well received in the market since its debut in April 2024, with 32,378 units sold during its first year. This added up to 10% of Toyota’s historic 309,230 passenger vehicle sales during FY2025.
The subcompact SUV is positioned to rival the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, with the duo manufactured on the same platform while bringing the styling and advantages of a favourable service network with Toyota.
What This Means for Buyers
The increase of Rs 2,500 is very small, which translates into just a 0.3–0.4 percent hike if you talk about the variants, and ensures the Taisor continues to be everyone’s favorite amongst competitors in the compact SUV space. But now, buyers have seen two price hikes in four months with some variants becoming costlier by as much as Rs 8,000 since January 2025.
