Range Rover Sport SV Carbon Edition Revealed With 626 HP V8

Range Rover has unveiled the Sport SV Carbon Edition, the new lightweight performance flagship of its luxury SUV lineup. Powered by a 626 hp 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine, the performance-focused model boasts a top speed of 290 kmph. The new variant will make its official global debut on August 13 at the Range Rover House during Monterey Car Week.

The Sport SV Carbon Edition places a major emphasis on reducing weight to enhance performance and handling. While it comes with 23-inch forged alloy wheels as standard, buyers can opt for the world’s first 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheels on a production vehicle. Paired with optional Carbon Ceramic Brakes, these upgrades slash a significant 76 kg from the SUV’s total weight.

The exterior features a standard Forged Carbon Exterior Pack, which adds stealthy carbon fibre detailing to the grille, bumper, and quad exhaust tips. Inside, the carbon theme continues with forged carbon detailing on the seatbacks and dashboard. Four interior themes are offered, including perforated Windsor Leather and a sustainable, leather-free Ultrafabrics option.

This new model completes the high-performance SV lineup, joining the recently launched Sport SV and SV Black editions. To manage its immense power, the SUV is equipped with a 6D Dynamics suspension system, which is engineered to minimize body roll and pitch during hard cornering and acceleration. Order books for the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon are now open, and it is expected to be priced at a premium over the standard models.
