Porsche Cayenne Black Edition Launched In India At ₹1.80 Crore

German luxury carmaker Porsche has introduced the Black Edition models of the Cayenne SUV and the Cayenne Coupe in India, priced at ₹1,80,00,000 (ex-showroom, India) for the former and ₹1,87,00,000 (ex-showroom, India) for the latter. The special models add to the style as well as look of the luxury SUV category.

Porsche Cayenne Black Edition is offered at ₹1.80 crore in terms of price, while the Cayenne Coupe Black Edition is priced at a premium of ₹32 lakh over the base coupe model, beginning at ₹1.87 crore. Both are telling signs of Porsche’s efforts to put up unique Styling Packages for those looking for the brush with exclusivity without altering performance.

Black Edition variants get a thorough design revamp with a lot of gloss-black elements on the outside.. The highlights of the images are the upgraded HD Matrix LED headlights which are new and are now darkened, black surrounds for the windows and for the optional mirror caps. The Cayenne Coupe Black Edition, for example, comes with 21-inch RS Spyder alloy wheels as standard.

While it’s labelled “Black”, Indian consumers have several premium paint options. Paint finishes available include Volcano Grey, Quartzite Grey, Dolomite Silver and Carrara White in addition to regular black. Porsche’s Paint-to-Sample and Dreams/Legends programs are still on offer for the ultimate in customization.

The two Black Edition models are powered by the familiar 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol which generates 348 bhp and 500 Nm. The standard Cayenne hits 0-100 kmph in 6.0 seconds while the Coupe in 5.7 seconds from the powertrain.

Key mechanical specifications include:

  • Engine: 3.0-liter V6 turbo-petrol
  • Power: 348 bhp
  • Torque: 500 Nm
  • Transmission: 8-speed automatic
  • Drive: All-wheel drive
  • Top Speed: 248 kmph

The Black Edition arrives on the heels of Porsche’s attempt to increase the range of special editions in India. These cars had their global launch at July’s 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The prices put both trims as high performance options over the standard Cayenne range that commences at ₹1.49 crore

The luxury SUV space in India is quite challenging and the Cayenne Black Edition will go up against the likes of the BMW XM, the Audi RS Q8 and the Lamborghini Urus among others. The Black Edition’s unique look and upgraded standard features are geared toward those that want a special luxury vehicle, but don’t necessarily want it in the form of the more-powerful V8 models.

Expect deliveries for both Black Editions to start from late 2025 or early 2026. The models can be booked across Porsche Centre network in India.
