Nissan Magnite KURO Edition Launches in India, Priced from Rs 8.30 Lakh

Nissan Motor India has officially launched the 2025 Magnite KURO Special Edition, introducing a striking all-black aesthetic to its popular compact SUV lineup. With an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 8.30 lakh, bookings for the new edition are now open for a token amount of Rs 11,000.

The name “KURO,” which means black in Japanese, perfectly defines the theme of this special edition. The vehicle features an exclusive Onyx Black exterior paint, complemented by a Piano Black front grille, black skid plates, black roof rails, and blacked-out R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels. This all-black treatment is aimed at customers seeking a more distinctive and premium design.

Inside, the cabin receives a midnight-themed dashboard with piano black accents and a sable black wireless charger, which comes as a standard feature for this edition. Based on the mid-spec N-Connecta variant, the KURO Edition retains key features like a digital driver’s display, an Arkamys-tuned sound system, and automatic climate control. A stealth dash cam is also offered as an accessory.

Mechanically, the vehicle remains unchanged. The KURO Edition is available with both of the Magnite’s existing engine options:

  • 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine available with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

This launch builds on the Magnite’s reputation for safety, as the model recently earned a 5-star overall passenger safety rating from Global NCAP. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, stated that the KURO Special Edition was created in response to strong customer demand for a feature-packed offering with a unique identity.
