Oben Electric Reveals Next-Gen Rorr EZ, Launching August 5

New Delhi: Bengaluru-based Oben Electric today confirmed the next-generation Rorr EZ electric motorcycle will debut on August 5, 2025. Bookings for the car would officially begin on the day of its launch, the company said adding that delivery to the customers would start from no less than August 15, 2025.

The new model is being hailed as a “bold evolution” and built for the city rider with a “major propulsion system upgrade and advanced technology.” Not much in the way of details yet, but the next-gen Rorr EZ will run on Oben’s in-house LFP battery technology, which is claimed to offer 50% better heat resistance and double the life of standard batteries. The outgoing version had an IDC of up to 175 km and a top-speed of 95 km/h, with a charging time of 45 minutes to 80 per cent of the battery.

With substantial investment behind it to grow its manufacturing and distribution capacity, Oben Electric has positioned itself as an in-house R&D specialist. The company says the electric two-wheeler brand is targeting the increasing demand for reliable and ‘stylish’ electric two-wheelers in India.

Some of the highlights of the previous Oben Rorr EZ are:

  • Range: Up to 175 km (IDC)
  • Top Speed: 95 km/h
  • Charging: 80% charge in 45 mins to 2 hours
  • Motor Power: 7.5 kW
  • Battery: 4.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack

The next-generation Rorr EZ should be just that; taking the best bits of the original clutch-free and gearless design but wrapping it all up with sharper, contemporary styling and improved equipment. The launch marks Oben’s intention to consolidate its position in one of the most competitive electric mobility markets in the world, India.
