The next-generation Hyundai Tucson has been caught testing in Europe, revealing an extreme new look and a fresh take on powertrains. The next-generation model called NX5 is likely to be unveiled globally in the third quarter of 2026.
All-new Tucson to adopt more rigid, geometric styling than curvy existing version according to spy shots. The new “Art of Steel” design thought seems influenced by the tough-refined look of Land Rovers as well as Hyundai’s N Vision 74 concept.
Hybrid Power and Advanced Tech
Hyundai Takes Big Strides to Electrify its vehicles by removing Diesel from the next-gen Tucson. The SUV will only be offered with hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains. The PHEV model has its sights set on an impressive all-electric driving range of 100km – perfect for zero-emissions commuting in the city.
The inside is also gearing up for a big technological leap with a host of new features:
- A new 16:9-wide display infotainment system called ‘Pleos OS.
- An AI assistant “Gleo” for more complex voice commands.
- More advanced Level 2.5 autonomous driving features.
Although the development has begun, there is no official word on when the series is going to be launched in India. The current-generation Tucson in India gets Level 2 ADAS, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, and options like a Bose premium sound system as well as a panoramic sunroof.
