MG Windsor EV Price Increase: What Buyers Need to Know Now

MG Motor India has hiked prices on most of its product range, including the popular Windsor EV from July 1, 2025. The flagship Windsor Essence Pro has received a price hike of ₹21,200.

Details of the Price Revision

The increase in the price is felt largely on the Windsor Essence Pro that’s being pegged at ₹18.31 lakh (ex-showroom) now. The other versions of the MG Windsor EV are immune to this second rise. Some of the variants had seen a price hike even in May 2025 with Windsor Essence getting dearer by ₹15,000 and the Exclusive ₹5,000 while the Excite prices remained unchanged.

MG Windsor EV Overview

The MG Windsor EV was launched in September 2024 and became one of the best-selling electric cars in India. The PRO model is equipped with a 52.9 kWh battery pack which has a claimed range of 449 km on a single charge. Base models have 38 kWh battery good for 332 km of range. The output of the electric motor is 136 hp and 200 Nm.

Windsor EV is offered in Excite, Exclusive, Essence, and Essence Pro trim. The Essence Pro feels luxurious, too, with dual-tone ivory-black seat upholstery and powered tailgate, while those rapid charging skills include vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) capabilities. It also comes with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and autonomous emergency braking.

The MG Windsor EV is available in a price range of ₹14 lakh to ₹18.31 lakh (ex-showroom). It will also come with BaaS (Battery as a Service), which allows customers to purchase the vehicle in your preferred MG dealer showroom at an even more affordable, reduced purchase price of ₹13.31 lakh (ex-showroom price), along with a fixed energy cost of ₹4.5 per km. The vehicle will be offered with a free-of-cost 5-year manufacturer warranty for unlimited km warranty, 8 years/1.5 lakh km warranty on the battery and round-the-clock roadside assistance (RSA) for a period of 5 years.
