MG Cyberster Price Reveals July 25: World’s Fastest MG Roadster

JSW MG Motor India Announces Price Of Flagship Electric Sports Car, Deliveries To Begin Through MG Select Dealers Pan India

MG Motor India will officially reveal the price of the Cyberster electric roadster on July 25, when the car will erase the entry barriers for the company in India premium performance EV space. The news comes just two days before the due date, further whetting the appetite for what the company dubs the “world’s fastest MG”.

Electric sports car will be exclusively available at MG Select premium dealers, which means it will be the brand’s flagship alongside the M9 MPV. The Cyberster has been available for pre-booking from February 2025 onwards, and deliveries are due to set off soon after the price reveal.

Performance Specifications Set New Benchmarks

The Cyberster from Cybertron Motors gets a 77kWh battery pack that fuels two electric motors producing 510bhp and 725Nm. This AWD setup delivers smouldering 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds, setting a new benchmark for performance off electric cars in India.

“MG claims 580 kilometres travel range(TB) on the China Light-duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) but real life range may vary.” The Roadster has front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, with a 50:50 weight distribution that allows for surprisingly ‘flat’ cornering behaviour for such a large car.

Design Language Blends Heritage With Innovation

The classic MG B Roadster serves as inspiration for the two-seater open-top convertible that features classic styling with contemporary electric car design. Key exterior features include:

  • Premium sports car inspired scissor style doors
  • Aggressive front fascia and swept-back LED headlights
  • C-shaped LED tail lights joined by the light bar
  • Front air vents for better battery cooling efficiency

The inside features a three-screen system with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster between two 7-inch screens. Further premium features include flat bottom steering wheel, heated 6-way electrically adjustable memory seats, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system.

Targets Premium Segment

The Cyberester is expected to be pegged in the range of ₹80 – 85 lakh (ex-showroom), which will be the most expensive offering form MG in the country. This pricing strategy places it below established European competitors such as the BMW Z4 that begins at ₹92.90 lakh.

For India, the roadster will be offered in four paint schemes including, Cosmic Silver, Inca Yellow, English White, and Dynamic Red. A CBU (completely built unit) import, the Cyberster is an example of MG’s promise to introduce global performance standards in India.

The July 25 event will give us the details on the final specs, variants and delivery timeline of what should become one of 2025’s most important electric car launches in India’s wealthier echelons.
