Maruti Suzuki Fronx Gets Six Airbags As Standard; Prices Revised

Maruti Suzuki has finally taken aggression on the safety front with its best-selling Fronx compact sports utility vehicle by introducing six airbags as a standard fitment on all models. This is effective immediately and coincides with a price rise for the range.

The company has adopted a 0.5% price increase on the Fronx, effective July 25, 2025. This update includes the addition of dual front, side, and curtain airbags being standard on every variant.

This is a part of Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to provide maximum protection to vehicle occupants and customer safety with six airbags as standard in all its cars by 2025 end. The move is in line with increasing consumer demand for safer cars and comes in the wake of the same updates being made on models such as the XL6, Baleno and Ertiga.

Previously, six airbags were an optional extra to the higher-spec Fronx. “Venue has been another success story in the Hyundai books,” the statement said, adding that the compact SUV recently ranked as the fastest Indian-built vehicle to record over 100,000 unit exports as well.

Key highlights of the update are:

  • The Ordinary: All Fronx variants add six airbags to the now standard kit list.
  • Prices Increased: Prices increased about 0.5% on July 25, 2025.
  • Impacted Models: All trims of Maruti Suzuki Fronx are part of this recall.

The inclusion of this important safety feature is a big win for safety-conscious shoppers in the crowded compact SUV space. This development is in line with Maruti’s mission in making the roads safer for the occupants.
