Mahindra & Mahindra readies 5 new SUV assault for next few months on Indian roads. Range includes both electric and ICE powertrains, and it is aiming for the whole range from small to premium customers.
Automaker Mahindra is preparing to launch handful of new cars in India including the XUV 3XO EV, XEV 7e, Thar facelift, XUV700 facelift and the next-generation Bolero. The launch schedule ranges from August 2025 to early 2026 and prices from ₹10 lakh to ₹30 lakh can be expected.
Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Electric Entry Point
Further down the line is an electric XUV 3XO EV (codename) from Mahindra slated for an August 2025 time frame. This pint-sized electric SUV will take the face of Tata Nexon EV in the entry-level EV segment.
Main parameters are a 35kWh battery pack with a 300-400 km off-the-record range. Visually though, very little has changed; the new Sigra Ace gets a touch-up on the front grille as well as new aerodynamic alloy wheels and the usual EV badging. On the inside, the electric model maintains the interior of the ICE version punctuated by premium details such as ventilated front seats and powered driver seat.
Anticipated pricing would be in the ₹15-18 lakh range which lines it up nicely against current electric rivals.
Mahindra XEV 7e: Luxury Electric 3-Row
The XEV 7e is the Indian carmaker’s flagship electric vehicle, and is effectively the electricised XUV700. Expected launch timeline is late 2025 or early 2026, and expected pricing would range from ₹21-30 lakh.
The three-row electric SUV comes automatically equipped with luxury features like:
- Triple 12.3-inch displays
- Augmented heads-up display (HUD)
- Level 2+ ADAS suite
- Ventilated front and rear seats
- Potential power second-row captain seats
The XEV 7e will come with various different battery pack options, so it will take the same approach in terms of configuration strategy that the XEV 9e took.
Thar Facelift: Refreshed Icon
The three-door Thar facelift is expected at the end of 2025, with new looks and extra features for Mahindra’s lifestyle SUV hero. Expected pricing is in the ₹12-18 lakh range, keeping it affordable for when India spec version is launched here.
Some of the key updates in the new model could include dual 10.25-inch screens, six airbags, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, and an upgraded sound system. The facelift is expected to retain the Thar’s competitiveness against more contemporary lifestyle SUV entrants.
XUV700 Facelift: Mid-Cycle Refresh
January 2026 scheduled XUV700 facelift will cause significant changes to the Mahindra premium SUV flagship. Prices will be competitive, with an expected price range of ₹15-26 lakh.
The re-do will be about updating technology, improving interior materials and perhaps revised exterior styling cues. This mid-cycle update is intended to keep the XUV700’s sales momentum rolling till the electric XEV 7e arrives.

The latest platform is capable of accommodating petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric powertrains. The Bolero EV will be launched after the ICE model, and with this Mahindra’s electric range will only get bigger and wider.
It will be produced at Mahindra’s Chakan plant that has an annual capacity of 120,000 units.
