DX electric scooter has been sneak peeked by Kinetic Green Officially one week prior to its official launch scheduled for July 28, 2025. The much awaited electric two-wheeler is expected to bring back the iconic design philosophy of its original two-stroke Kinetic Honda DX that was seen buzzing on the Indian roads more than 40 years back.
The new teaser shows unique illuminated logo placements on various parts of the scooter. A large ‘Kinetic’ lettering above the horizontal headlamp and the company badge right in the centre of the front apron against a contrasting black panel.
Key Specifications Revealed
The electric scooter will be available with a variety of battery options, with capacity between 1.8 KWh to 3 KWh. Performance numbers reveal that the electric scooter can reach a top speed of 80 kmph making it decent against the family electric scooters.
Additional confirmed features include:
- TFT display for instrumentation
- Hub-mounted electric motor configuration
- 12-inch wheel setup
- Front disc brake system
- Telescoping front suspension and dual rear shocks
Design Philosophy: Nostalgia Meets Modernity
Test mule spottings show that the DX electric would retain the iconic shape of its fabled ancestor. The rectangualar ORVMs, the unique front apron design, as well as the side panel pattern are an homage to the iconic styling cues of the original DX.
But there are contemporary touches on the electric version. Headlamp is of slim, rounded-rectangular form flanked by LED DRLS in the shape of Kinetic’s logo. A mini version of the old windscreen, a signature touch on the original DX, is still still included.

Market Positioning Strategy
The DX electric targets the rival family-oriented electric scooter class that is hotly contested right now with the likes of the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Hero Vida VX2, and Ather Rizta too. Industry estimates indicate pricing of around Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) which would make it an entry-level premium offering.
Powerful nostalgia value
The above positioning is based on the nostalgia for the Kinetic brand concept while using cutting edge electric vehicle technology behind the scenes. The first Kinetic Honda DX was a modified version of the widely-acclaimed Honda Activa, which was a game-changing for the Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts in the 80’s, so the revival of this brand is pretty important for the local market.
“With the launch, Kinetic Green will aim to regain the market share in the fast growing electric scooter segment in India,” the company said, adding the formal launch on July 28 would “bring out detailed pricing, final specifications and availability schedules.”
