Kia India has announced the official commencement of bookings for the world’s first made-in-India electric MPV from July 22, 2025. The Carens Clavis EV is priced from Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available for booking at Rs 25,000.
“It is a turning point for our EV strategy in India and we’re pleased to be able to cater to the consumer demands from the real market in this space.” The seven-seater electric family mover is a part of Kia’s push for electric mobility in India. The Carens Clavis EV can be booked from the official Kia India website and via authorised dealers across the country.
Family Adventures are Powered by Dual Battery Options
Below that, the Carens Clavis EV boasts good range thanks to two battery options:
- 42kWh battery pack: ARAI-certified 404km range, 133 bhp power output.
- 51.4kWh battery pack: ARAI-certified range of 490km and power output of 169 bhp
Both of them also get fast charging and charge from 10 to 80 per cent jump in 39 minutes with a 100kW DC charger. The MPV also docks with 7.4kW and 11kW AC charging points in a home environment.

Featuring Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, the Carens Clavis EV combines impressive exterior features:
- 26.62-Inch Dual Panoramic Display Panel for Greater Connectivity
- Panoramic sunroof two glass panes in the front roof as well as two glass panes in the rear for stunning views and natural light
- 8 speakers BOSE premium sound system
- Footwell illumination and 64 colors of available ambient lighting
- (V2L) for connecting and charging external device
Level 2 ADAS and 200mm ground clearance are standard for Indian road conditions with this electric MPV. The battery pack is IP67-certified, protecting against the monsoons.
Market Positioning Against EV Competition
The Carens Clavis EV, priced between Rs 17.99 lakh and Rs 24.49 lakh also locks horns with the Hyundai Creta Electric (Rs 17.99-24.38 lakh) and Tata Curvv EV (Rs 17.49-22.24 lakh). The common flooring with Hyundai Creta Electric should guarantee proven powertrain reliability.

Charging Infrastructure Support
K-Charge, integrated with MyKia app, grants access to more than 11,000 charging stations across India. The network has over 7,000 AC chargers and 4,000 DC fast chargers via agreements with 18 major charge point operators.
The company has deployed more than 250 EV ready workshops including over 100 dealerships with DC fast chargers to cater to the service requirements of the customers.
