Honda Cars India has streamlined the lineup for its popular second-generation Amaze, discontinuing all but one variant. The compact sedan is now exclusively available in the mid-spec ‘S’ trim, solidifying its position as a focused entry-level offering.
This strategic shift means the second-generation Amaze now starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹7.63 lakh for the manual version and goes up to ₹8.53 lakh for the CVT automatic. The decision comes as the older model continues to be sold alongside the all-new third-generation Amaze, which was launched in late 2024.
The top-of-the-line VX variant of the second-gen model has been officially removed from the company’s website, leaving the ‘S’ variant as the sole choice for customers interested in the previous-generation design. This move simplifies the choice for buyers, positioning the car as a direct value-for-money proposition against its rivals.

Under the hood, the Amaze ‘S’ variant continues to be powered by the tried-and-tested 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine.
- Power Output: 89 bhp
- Torque: 110 Nm
- Transmission: 5-speed Manual or CVT Automatic
- Claimed Mileage: Up to 18.6 kmpl
To make the deal more attractive, Honda is offering significant benefits of up to ₹97,200 on the remaining second-gen Amaze stock in August 2025. This is part of the automaker’s “The Great Honda Fest” campaign aimed at boosting sales during the festive season.
Despite being a base trim, the ‘S’ variant comes equipped with key features like a 2DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, steering-mounted controls, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and dual-tone interiors, ensuring a practical and comfortable cabin experience.
