Honda Activa e: Honda’s evergreen Activa has shed its petrol habit and rolled into the electric age, stamped with Honda’s “e:” badge and a price tag that undercuts many rivals. Bookings kicked off on January 1, 2025, and the first deliveries are due from February in major metros.
A familiar name goes electric
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has repurposed the Activa’s proven chassis and frame for the Activa e:, but everything else feels fresh. The minimalist bodywork gets clean lines, an LED headlamp nested in the apron and a slim DRL on the handlebar cowl. Under the seat sit two swappable 1.5 kWh battery packs, driving a swingarm-mounted electric motor rated at 4.2 kW (peak 6 kW) and 22 Nm of torque.
Swappable batteries and charging ecosystem
Rather than tether you to a charging point, Honda is building a network of swapping stations where you simply pull out depleted modules and pop in fresh ones. Each 1.5 kWh battery weighs about 10.2 kg, so handling them isn’t a chore. A single full charge of both batteries yields a claimed 102 km of range under IDC testing—enough for a week’s worth of city hops on most commutes.

Tech-savvy features in the RoadSync Duo
The Activa e: comes in two trims. The base model keeps things straightforward with a digital console, USB charging port and keyless start. Step up to the RoadSync Duo variant, and you get a 7-inch TFT display with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, live battery-charging status and over-the-air updates. Both variants carry Honda’s smart key and a full-LED lighting setup.
