Updated Hero Splendor 2025: Hero’s evergreen Splendor has just received its 2025 makeover, and it’s more than just a fresh coat of paint. The commuter king now sports OBD2B–compliant internals, a smattering of tech bits lifted straight from higher‐end bikes, and prices nudged up by roughly ₹2,000 across the board.
The silhouette you know and love remains: compact tanks, upright ergonomics, that no-nonsense posture. But peer closer and you’ll spot the subtle tweaks. New graphics lend a sporty edge without shouting for attention. The grab-rail and luggage rack feel sturdier, like they’ve been hitting the gym. Under the tank, the 97.2 cc single-cylinder mill is unchanged on paper—8 bhp and 8 Nm from a four-speed box—but it’s now tuned to meet Phase II OBD-2B norms. Real-world pull and fuel efficiency shouldn’t shift appreciably, yet emissions take a welcome dip.

Tech upgrades trickle down from the marquee XTEC variants. The base-model drum-brake Splendor still skips Bluetooth, but the XTEC 2.0 gives you LED headlamps, a digital-cum-analog cluster and smartphone alerts via Bluetooth. Think of it as the Splendor you’ve known for decades, sprinkled with the kind of gadgetry you don’t usually expect in a 100 cc tool of daily grind.
At the bottom end, the Splendor Plus XTEC Drum hovers around ₹79,000 (ex-Delhi), while the XTEC 2.0—decked out with LED lighting and that Bluetooth cluster—lands just past ₹85,000. Yes, that’s about ₹2,000 more than last year’s models, but in a segment where even small gains add up over time, Hero clearly banked on Splendor’s rock-solid reputation to keep buyers onside.
On the road, it’s business as usual: torquey from city speeds up to around 60 km/h, flickable through traffic, and forgiving on potholes thanks to its gem-of-a-suspension setup. Fuel mileage stays in the low 70 kmpl zone according to ARAI, with real-world runs nudging into the high-70s if you’re gentle on the throttle.
Hero hasn’t reinvented the wheel here. What they’ve done is smartly modernize their bestselling workhorse—adding a dash of tech, tightening emissions, and keeping the price hike modest. For anyone who’s treated their Splendor like a trusted steed, the 2025 update feels like just the right step forward: familiar comfort with a few welcome bells and whistles.
