Hero MotoCorp Confirms Multiple New Bikes And Scooters For FY2026

Hero MotoCorp announces a multi-segment product launch strategy for the 2026 financial year, signaling a major portfolio expansion. The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer plans to introduce a range of new models targeting the premium, electric, and commuter motorcycle segments. This move is part of an aggressive strategy to accelerate growth and strengthen its market position both in India and globally.

The company is placing a significant bet on the premium market with several much-awaited launches.

  • The highlight is the adventure-tourer Xpulse 421, which is expected to launch by March 2026. It will be powered by a new 421cc liquid-cooled engine and is positioned to compete directly with rivals like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure.
  • Other models slated for release include the Karizma XMR 250, Xtreme 400s, and a Mavrick 440 Scrambler.

In a strategic push towards electric mobility, Hero MotoCorp will also launch two new budget electric scooters in FY2026. These models will be positioned below the current premium Vida range, aiming to make EVs more accessible for daily commuting without premium features. This diversification strengthens Hero’s footing in India’s rapidly growing electric two-wheeler market.

While expanding into new territories, Hero MotoCorp is also reinforcing its dominance in the core commuter segment. The company plans to launch new models in the highly competitive 125cc category to bolster its portfolio and market share. This strategy follows the recent showcase of the Xtreme 250R and Xoom 160 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which set the stage for this next phase of growth.

This product offensive aligns with the company’s broader vision for FY2026, which Executive Chairman Pawan Munjal has called a “year of acceleration”. The strategy emphasizes premiumization, international expansion into European markets, and sustained product innovation, reflecting CEO Niranjan Gupta’s commitment to launching a new product every quarter.
