Citroen C3X Launched In India With New Features, Prices Start At ₹7.91 Lakh

New Delhi: Citroen has launched the new C3X crossover sedan in the Indian market, shaking up the mid-size sedan segment with its unique coupe-SUV styling. With introductory ex-showroom prices starting from ₹7.91 lakh, the C3X aims to carve a niche for itself, blending the practicality of a sedan with the rugged appeal of an SUV. Deliveries are set to begin across India by the first week of September 2025.

The C3X is built on the same C-Cubed platform as the C3 and C3 Aircross and shares a familiar yet updated design language. It features a distinctive notchback silhouette, high ground clearance, and a tapered roofline that sets it apart from traditional sedans. Key exterior highlights include LED projector headlamps, DRLs, and fog lamps, along with a new grille and the brand’s signature chevron logo.

Under the hood, the Citroen C3X is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 110 hp and 190 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Some reports also suggest the availability of a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine option. An all-electric version of the C3X is expected to follow within the next 6-8 months.

The interior receives significant upgrades, though it maintains the dashboard layout seen in its siblings.

  • Infotainment: A 10.2-inch touchscreen system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • Instrument Cluster: A 7-inch digital driver’s display.
  • Comfort & Convenience: The cabin features new leatherette-wrapped seats, automatic climate control, and steering-mounted controls.
  • Safety: The C3X is equipped with up to six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a reverse parking camera.

With its launch, the Citroen C3X enters a competitive space, positioned against rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and the upcoming Tata Curvv. The model is a key part of Citroen’s strategy to expand its portfolio and strengthen its foothold in the Indian automotive market.
