Bajaj Auto has finally unveiled the new and updated Pulsar NS400Z UG in India at Rs. 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed version brings substantial performance enhancements and improved specifications as well, letting you experience the most powerful Pulsar the company has ever made.
Key Performance Upgrades
The 2025 Pulsar NS400Z UG gets a significant bump in power from its 373cc liquid-cooled motor. The engine continues to belt out 42.4bhp against the earlier 39.5bhp, peak torque 37Nm. No, really. That’s a 2.5bhp increase which is not an insignificant amount, in terms of the bike’s pure power figures.
The engine is still mated to a six-speed gearbox and now gets the benefit of a bi-directional quickshifter for quicker and smoother, clutch-less gear shifts. This high-end feature was missing in the standard variant.
Enhanced Hardware and Safety Features
Improved Braking System
The braking system has also been improved with the use of sintered brake pads in place of the organic brake pads used on the Dominar. This upgrade greatly increases initial bite, feel, and decreases brake fade during hard riding.
Better Grip and Stability
More from Motoring Its rear section, too, has been compensated with a 150-section Apollo H1 tyre (as opposed to the stock, 140-section tyre) that promises better grip on dry, as well as wet, surfaces. Up front also uses a 110/70-R17 tyre setup.
Feature-Rich Package
The Pulsar NS400Z UG maintains its complete fitment of all of its features:
- Four Ride Modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Off−road
- Traction control, for added safety
- Full LED lighting with unique Z-shaped DRLs
- Presenting dual-channel ABS for power performance braking
- Bluetooth LCD screen for navigation and call notification
Design and Ergonomics
The bike retains its aggressive streetfighter looks, courtesy its muscular body panels and sharp aerodynamic cuts. Design highlights consist of an all-LED headlamp with thunderous-shaped DRLs and a mid-ship type LED projector.
With a seat height of 807mm, it’s pretty easy for pretty much anyone to put their feet down and when fully fuelled it’s 174kg. Levers with span adjustability ensure that riders enjoy maximum comfort and control.
