Mahindra is preparing for an all out offensive, with at least three big launches in the pipeline. The XEV 7e electric SUV will come by Diwali 2025 and ahead of that both Thar and XUV700 will get full facelifts in 2026. Here is everything to know about these coming game-changers.
XEV 7e Electric SUV: The electric alternative to the XUV700
Launch Timeline & Pricing
The release date of Mahindra XEV 7e will be around July-August 2025, as per reports (a Diwali 2025 launch is also rumored). Price expectation is ₹21-30 lakh, placing it high up on Mahindra’s electric pyramid.
Technical Specifications
Based on a futuristic INGLO EV architecture of Mahindra, the XEV 7e will be offered with a choice of 2 battery packs:
- 59 kWh battery on the base version
- 79 kWh battery pack for long range use
With the larger battery plan, it promises an impressive 650 km on a single charge, pitting it against premium electric SUVs.
Design & Features
Heavily influenced by the XEV 9e, the XEV 7e brings:
- Inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs
- Bumper-hugging split LED headlamps
- Aero-optimized wheels for enhanced efficiency
- Sleek wraparound LED tail-lamps
Inside, anticipate a trio of screens, a dashboard-spanning 12.3-inch infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and an additional passenger screen. The cabin will receive a dual-tone black and white treatment along a shiny piano black centre console.
Thar Facelift: Roxx-Inspired Updates

We’ll hopefully see the 3-door facelift Thar come in by the end of 2025; some have even pegged it for a 2026 launch! Pricing is expected to be in the range of ₹12-18 lakh.

The XUV700 facelift will launch in January 2026, with anticipated pricing to commence from about ₹15 lakh, a slight bump up over the existing ₹14.49 lakh starting price.
Major Design Overhaul
The updated XUV700 will come with a major design change:
- Connected LED headlamp setup
- New twin projector LED headlights with Crescent inverted L-shaped DRLs
- Redesigned front grille
- Updated alloy wheels
- Refreshed LED tail lights

The largest transformation is inside, with a triple-screen dash set-up lifted off the XEV 9e, which consists of:
