Volvo Car India has introduced the 2025 XC60 facelift that starts at Rs 71.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the second major upgrade for the brand’s top-selling global model and includes exterior, interior design updates along with additional features and technology making it stand out in luxury SUV segment. The new model is assembled locally at Volvo’s Bengaluru plant.
The XC60 facelift is still powered by the existing 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine matched with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This B5 powerplant delivers 250 hp and a peak torque of 360 Nm delivered to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It has an electronically restricted top speed of 180 km/h.
What’s New On The Outside?
The 2025 has serious design tweaks that all make the vehicle better, even though it’s a double take for riders when remembering what they’ve seen. The front fascia receives revamped bumper styling and a new grille that adopts a diagonal-slat design, aligning it more closely with the range-topping XC90. The SUV now sits on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and the LED tail-lights are smoked finished.
Two new colors are offered on the XC60 for first time:
- Mulberry Red
- Forest Green
These supplement the current line-up of Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Bright Dusk and Vapour Grey.
A Tech-Focused Cabin
The biggest changes are in the interior, where there’s a new, bigger 11.2-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system. Fueled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Volvo says it has double the processing power and 10 times greater graphic capability. The system features Google services and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, as well as over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Amenities and convenience features have been strengthened in the XC60 to help compete with rivals like the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Key interior highlights include:
- A 1410-watt, 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system.
- Nappa leather seating surfaces with front seats that massage.
- Panoramic sunroof and four-zone climate control.
- Best air purifier with the ability to eliminate up to 95% of PM2.5 particles.
- Safety First, with a host of ADAS.
