Kinetic Green has re-entered the scooter market with the launch of the new Kinetic DX electric scooter that has been introduced on July 28, 2025. The electic scooter comes in two models — the DX and DX+ which are priced at Rs 1,11,499 and Rs 1,17,499 (ex-showroom) each. Online bookings of the new scooter have started and the deliveries will commence in the following months.
Powering The existing 2019 Kinetic DX borrows a lot of design cues from the legendary Kinetic Honda DX scooter from 80’s and looks like a successful attempt to bring the retro styling with modern day technologies. It carries the same boxy design and square-shaped headlight, as well as the minimalist body panels of the original model, merging a retro aesthetic to the 21st century looks with the help of a Kinetic logo at the backlit. The scooter comes in five retro colourways: Red, Blue, White, Black and Silver.
The DX is powered by a 2.6kWh lithium (LFP) battery connected to a hub-mounted motor that has a peak power of 4.8kW. This configuration results in a claimed maximum speed of 90 km/h with a range of 116 km on a single charge. A special “Cruise Lock” function allows topping out speed to be limited to 25-30 km/h in order to stretch the battery life out, with a claimed range of up to 150 km. The battery will be fully charged in about four hours.
Positioned as a family-oriented scooter, Kinetic DX comes with all the frugal and contemporary essentials. It features a big 8.8-inch LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity and 37-litre under-seat storage and comes mounted on 12-inch wheels with a telescopic front fork and a front disc brake. By doing so, Kinetic DX now competes with the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak and the Ola S1 range directly.
