New Royal Enfield Continental GT-R 750 Launching Soon With 750cc Engine

Royal Enfield is working on a new flagship café racer, possibly the Continental GT-R 750, which was recently caught testing on Indian roads. The next bike will take design cues from 2018 V85 TT and will be first one to be powered by brand’s new 750cc parallel twin engine, which will go on sale before April 2026.

Based on the Continental GT 650 and the GT-R 650 race bike, the new model – codenamed R1E – gets retro-style semi-fairing and sporty, committed riding position, with clip on handle bars and rear-set footpegs. The test mules seem to indicate final testing for the GT-R 750, possibly a world premier at the EICMA 2025 show in Milan.

New 750CC parallel-twin engine It is the upgraded engine of the 648CC originating engine. Official figures are yet to be released but this larger engine is expected to generate a significant increase in power and torque over the existing 47hp/52.3Nm output to make it competitive with other middleweights.

Important features seen from the latest spy shots include:

  • Engine: A new 750cc parallel-twin motor.
  • Brakes: Dual-disc set up at the front (for the first time on a Royal Enfield) to improve braking performance.
  • Wheels: The test bike was spotted with an alloy wheels which could be seen as standard.
  • Design: It sports a fully-faired classic café racer design, jazzy paint theme, integrated turn indicators within the fairing and a circular LED headlamp.
  • Suspension: From the looks of it, the test mule could get a conventional telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers.

This new bike may replace the existing GT 650 in the Royal Enfield range and we expect it to be the priciest Royal Enfield motorcycle ever. First in line after the Continental GT-R 750, more models are expected from Royal Enfield using the same 750cc engine platform post FY2026.
