MG Comet EV Price Increased Again: See The New Variant-Wise Rates

MG Motor India’s compact electric car Comet EV sees another price hike; prices hiked by up to ₹15,000. This update is common for the outlandish city slicker EV across all its models, leaving the starting price ex-showroom at ₹7.50 lakh.

This is the fourth major price hike announcement for the Comet EV in 2025, after price adjustments were announced in January, February and May. The new hike is across-the-board — all standard as well as BaaS models.

New Variant-Wise Prices (Ex-Showroom)
The price jumps a little bit from model to model in the Comet EV range:

  • Executive: Now ₹7.50 lakh, up around ₹14,000.
  • Excite: Gets a hike of ₹15,000 and priced at ₹8.57 lakh. The fast-charging (FC) version will cost ₹8.97 lakh.
  • Exclusive: Also receives a ₹15,000 bump, taking its price to ₹9.56 lakh. The Exclusive FC variant now costs ₹9.97 lakh, expensive by nearly ₹14,000.
  • Blackstorm Edition: The top-spec model is now priced at almost ₹10 lakh.

For those choosing the BaaS scheme, the subscription has gone up from ₹2.9 to ₹3.1 per km as well, which, alongside a ₹15,000 hike on most variants, anyway.

This price update does not come by accompanied with any mechanical or feature changes in the car. The MG Comet EV is still powered by the 17.3 kWh battery pack and promises an ARAI-claimed range of 230 km. The most recent round of feature improvements, such as a rear-view camera and power-folding mirrors on some models, was launched in March 2025.
