Renault India is all set to take the wraps off the updated Triber tomorrow, July 23, 2025 which will come with some updated styling and features and will be pegged slightly more than Rs 6 lakh and cater to the budget family buyers.
In India, the Renault Triber facelift goes on sale as the cheapest 7-seater available in the Indian market and it continues competing with the likes of the Maruti Ertiga and the Kia Carens. The refreshed MPV will probably carry forward its USP but can come with cosmetic and feature related updates.
What’s New in the 2025 Triber
The updated Triber comes with updated lighting elements, revised bumpers and new alloy wheel patterns to bring its looks up to date. Interior changes feature a reconfigured dashboard with a new color scheme, but Renault retains the familiar 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine.
The non-turbocharged engine makes 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. This powertrain has regularly returned more than 18 kmpl in regular driving conditions and is an ideal choice for those who put a premium on efficiency.

Positioning in India’s 7-Seater Market
Selling for anything between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8.98 lakh, the Triber is the cheapest 7-seater MPV on sale in India. The launch of the facelift is also taking place during increased rivalry as a number of competitive manufacturers aim to launch 7-seaters by 2025.
One would not call the Ertiga (Rs 8.69-13.03 lakh) and Carens (Rs 10.52-19.67 lakh) bad value, but their floors make the Triber the more affordable one for families who want the most number of seats.
Expected Features and Safety
The revised model should carry over the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the 7-inch digital driver display and wireless charging pad. In terms of safety, there’s also a decent 4-star NCAP safety rating (rare in this budget).
The Triber’s “modular” seating is flexible, the third row most suited to children or short journeys. As with the rest of the Twingo range, which starts from £9,495, the three-door model is just 3,990mm long, yet Renault has extracted a maximum amount of space from the car through clever packaging.
Market Impact and Competition
The Triber facelift launches at a time when India’s 7-seater segment is on the threshold of a big expansion. Things in the pipeline include the Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater, Toyota Hyryder 7-seater, and Nissan’s next B-MPV.
This level of competition characters is good for consumers with manufacturer concentrating on offering the best at the most competitive price. The Triber’s update is to keep hold of the existing market share as well as to keep others waiting for their forthcoming launches.
The new Renault Triber is more than just a mere launch for the French car manufacturer in India – it’s a game-changer aimed at staying relevant in the changing MPV landscape for families here that want space, utility, and cost-effectiveness.
