Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming new-generation Glamour 125 has been caught testing recently spied images, and a surprising feature has been revealed. The 2026 model has also been caught testing with cruise control — a first for the 125cc commuter segment, and even the company’s flagship for that matter since the Hero Mavrick 440 does not offer the same. This act marks a significant change in strategy, perhaps changing the way of how budget motorcycles are looked at in India.
While the test mule was heavily camouflaged, it was also spotted with a new full digital instrument console and new switchgear to enable a new cruise control function. Although the motorcycle was extensively covered, some noticeable elements that it carried were the single-piece seat, the pillion grab rail and a saree guard, confirming to its commuter-centric styling.
This is a great move for the Indian two-wheeler space. In testing a premium feature like cruise control on a mass-market commuter, Hero would appear poised to shake up the segment. Should it be launched, this could become a game changer for the Glamour 125 with respect to its competition.
The 2026 Glamour 125 will be here in all likelihood retain the current 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This engine is now good for 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm of torque and comes coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.
Here are the top 5 things to expect in the spied motorcycle:
- Segment-first cruise control system
- New fully digital instrument cluster
- Updated switchgear
- Single-piece seat and grab rail
At launch, the new Hero Glamour 125 will go up against the likes of the TVS Raider 125, Bajaj Pulsar 125 and the Honda Shine 125.
