2025 Tata Punch Facelift Interior Spied: Tata’s bread-and-butter Punch is due for its first significant refresh since it first hit the market, and spy images have just emerged revealing what’s in store when the 2025 facelift arrives. Clicked in Pune the images show a fairly extensive interior makeover, while the exteriors are largely identical – something that may surprise a few but is well in line with Tata’s volume driver.
Inside Goes Modern
But the big story here is that what’s going down inside the cabin. Tata has finally given the Punch a front end in line with its newer models and, frankly, it had to be done. The existing Punch is currently the only ICE car remaining in Tata’s range with this older interior theme – something that always seemed a little bit of an outlier when placed alongside the Altroz or Nexon.
As seen in the spy shots, there will be a new two-spoke leatherette steering wheel with backlit Tata badge (as is in the just-launched Altroz facelift). It has these newfangled touch and toggle controls for audio and cruise functions that feel a cut above the ones in the car now.
But the true showstopper is the 7-inch TFT instrument cluster – a fully digital affair that should make the interior feel a hell of a lot more premium than the current car. Tata’s comment is there are enough differences, such as the larger 10.2-inch cluster from the Punch EV not being used for the ICE Punch, to keep them distinct for now.
The 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen has been carried over unchanged, and that’s fine by us since it already supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The familiar wireless charging pad, manual handbrake, cup holders and fabric upholstery stay put.

Exterior: Playing it Safe
This is where the going gets a little conservative. Although a previous report had indicated a possibility that the ICE Punch facelift would take its inspiration from the Punch EV, the test mule indicates the exterior will remain largely the same. This seems to fall in line with what Tata’s MD Shailesh Chandra spoke last year about cars featuring different looks for the ICE as well as EV versions.
The profile and most of the body panels seem to have been retained, but we expect some minor changes to the front grille and likely new alloy wheels. It’s a conservative move, but when the current look had ongoing a fair run for Tata’s sales numbers, why mess with what isn’t broken?

Same Powertrain, New Appeal
Don’t expect any surprises under the hood. That means the 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which churns out 86 bhp and 113 Nm will get to live another day, so will the CNG variant which produces 73.4 bhp and 103 Nm. The 5-speed manual and AMT choices should be retained as well.
Launch Timeline and Pricing
Several sources already are directing toward a mid-2025 debut, perhaps in time for the holidays. Prices, on the basis of updates are likely to be similar to the current model and range from ₹6 lakh to ₹10.32 lakh (ex-showroom).
