Citroen C3 Gets Massive Price Cut; Range Now Starts At Rs 5.25 Lakh

Citroen India has announced a significant price reduction for its C3 hatchback, with cuts of up to Rs 1.29 lakh on certain models. The 2025 C3 range now begins at a more competitive starting price of Rs 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a more aggressive player in its segment.

The French automaker has slashed prices across the C3 lineup while also introducing new variants and features. Bookings for the updated model are now open, with deliveries scheduled to commence in the first week of September 2025.

Trim-wise Price Revision

The most substantial price drop benefits the Feel variant, which is now cheaper by Rs 1.29 lakh. The entry-level Live trim also sees a major reduction of Rs 98,000.

Citroen has also restructured the variant lineup:

  • A new Feel (O) trim has been introduced at Rs 7.27 lakh.
  • The former Shine variant has been rebranded as the X Shine and, despite feature additions, its price has been reduced by Rs 25,000.
  • The top-spec X Shine Turbo AT variant receives a price cut of Rs 10,000.

Powertrain and Features

Mechanically, the Citroen C3 remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by an 82hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. A factory-fitted CNG kit is also available as an option for an additional Rs 93,000. The more powerful 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine is exclusively available on the top-tier C3 X Shine models.

The price repositioning makes the Citroen C3 one of the most affordable cars in its category, undercutting rivals like the Maruti Ignis (starting at Rs 5.85 lakh), Tata Punch (Rs 6 lakh onwards), and Hyundai Exter (Rs 6 lakh onwards).
